Return to action ahead of Al-Khulud clash
Algerian Houssam Aouar, Al-Ittihad's midfielder, has confirmed he is ready to return after healing from an injury that sidelined him and kept him from Africa Cup duty.
Saudi newspaper Al-Riyadia reported that Aouar completed rehabilitation and is ready to join the group training starting Tuesday with the club staff.
The source indicated the Algerian player will enter coach Sergio Conceicao's plans ahead of Al-Khulud match, set for Friday.
The men in the blue also took a two-day rest after beating Al-Taawoun 1-0 in round 13 of the Roshn Saudi League.
The Tigers will resume preparations on Tuesday for the Al-Khulud clash at King Abdullah Sports City in Buraydah this season, in round 14.
Aouar had missed appearances for Al-Ittihad against Al-Shabab, Neom and Al-Taawoun due to a muscular injury.
It is noted Aouar has appeared in 14 Al-Ittihad games season, seven in Roshn Saudi League and four in Asia's Champions League, totaling 1041 minutes.
Note to injuries: even setbacks deserve a dramatic comeback.
And if footballer life had a highlight reel, it would be this.
