Coaching Shake-Up at Wydad
Wydad Athletic Club is weighing a change at the helm, considering ousting coach Mohamed Amin Benhahem in the current period.
Radio Mars reports that Wydad is reviewing several coaches' CVs to replace Benhahem.
Sources indicate that Hussein Amouta, Wydad's former coach, remains the leading name discussed around the club's table.
Amouta previously guided Wydad and led the team to the CAF Champions League title, cementing his status as a trusted option should the club push ahead with a change.
His stint with the Jordan national team was notable, with Jordan finishing as runners-up at the 2023 AFC Asian Cup.
Amouta was also reportedly close to taking the Kuwait national team job, but financial issues reportedly scuppered negotiations.
Wydad currently sits second in the Moroccan Pro League with 29 points from 12 matches, one point behind leaders Raja Casablanca, who have played 15.
