Kaneayern Status
Negotiation marathon begins at the Bavarian fortress.
In a decisive step that silences months of rumors about his future, Bayern Munich officially confirms English star Harry Kane remains firmly within the Bavarian club's walls. The club says there is no exit option now.
Honorary president Uli Hoeneß stated in an interview with Bild that the famous release clause is finished, ending any chance of departure in 2026 for Kane. for Kane.
And Hoeneß, with typical confidence, added: "Let me clarify this. Harry Kane is an asset for us. With the exit clause gone after 2026 and the extension through 2027, we face no pressure at the moment."
With this announcement, the mystery around the 32-year-old's future ends, and clubs like Barcelonaeen seen as Lewandowski's ideal successor—and Tottenham, dreaming of a return, were left out.
Kane's contract with Bayern, signed in 2023, runs until June 2027, with no current possibility of an early exit via a release clause.
This situation reflects the great trust the club places in the player, especially after his exceptional season (2025/2026). Kane has netted 41 goals and assisted 5 in all competitions so far, at an astonishing rate close to 1.17 goals per game.
In the Bundesliga alone, his 26 goals in 22 games surpass the total goals of seven complete clubs, and he reached the historic milestone of 500 goals in his career (club and England) during a Werder Bremen match.
In a modest comment after achieving this milestone, Kane posted a video on social media saying: "Very proud to reach 500 goals. I try to enjoy these moments, big thanks to teammates, coaches, and staff. As always, we focus on the next game and the next target".
And with Kane staying until at least 34, Bayern Munich seems in a strong position to keep its main attacking asset.
According to Foot Mercato, early talks are already underway to extend the deal to 2028 or 2029, given Kane's form and his full integration with the team and life in Munich.
