He added that his father always spoke with passion about Steven Gerrard, and that as a child they did not even have a television at home. He said he respects Liverpool, but his current dream club is Leipzig.
Still, English media have increasingly linked him with a future move to Anfield next summer as interest grows, presenting him as a strategic option to strengthen the attack.
Diomandé's deal with Leipzig runs through 2030, giving the German club a strong negotiating position.
In the current season, the winger has featured in 26 matches for Leipzig, scoring 10 goals and providing 7 assists, underscoring his status as one of the Bundesliga's rising talents.
