Lukaku Declines January Departures, Extends Napoli Stay

Transfer window update
Napoli's Belgian striker Romelu Lukaku has reportedly turned down two January offers from Everton and Besiktas, choosing to stay with Napoli for the time being.
Previously, Lukaku played for Everton from 2013 to 2017, scoring 87 goals in 166 appearances for the English club.
According to Football Italia, Everton and Besiktas inquired about a possible move, but Lukaku refused to leave Napoli this month.
Both clubs showed interest in the Belgian, yet the forward does not want to depart Napoli in January.
He has not yet appeared for Napoli in the 2025-26 season, after an injury during pre-season ruled him out. His return is expected soon, and he has been named in Napoli's squad to face Copenhagen in the Champions League.
Lukaku has been with Napoli since August 2024, with a contract due to expire in June 2027.
The saga continues to heat up Napoli's winter.
Punchline 1: Sniper precision—Lukaku stays, rumors go mute.
Punchline 2: January window? Napoli turned it into a parking lot for transfers.
