Madrid's Make-or-Break Weekend: Arbeloa's Calm, Rodrygo's Return, and a Villarreal Test
Real Madrid trains ahead of La Liga showdown with Villarreal.

Team training and lineup prospects

Real Madrid continued training at Valdebebas, as they gear up for Saturday's clash with Villarreal at La Cerámica in La Liga's 21st round.

Coach Álvaro Arbeloa hopes Rodrygo will rejoin the squad after returning to training, possibly earning a first slot under the new boss.

Although a starting role remains unlikely, Rodrygo adds another attacking option for the trip.

Injury updates and returns

Rodrygo has yet to feature since Arbeloa took charge, after an injury in the Saudi Super Cup that also kept him out of the Copa del Rey against Alavés.

Good news is Raul Asensio has returned to training and could be involved against Villarreal.

With Militao injured, Chouaméni suspended, and lingering doubts about Rudiger, Asensio's return would help strengthen the defense. Fans wait hopeful for a tactical twist. Because apparently even the net needs a hero. Locker room jokes are flying high.
