Mido crowns Al-Dosari a legend after Saudi Arabia’s standout Arab Cup display
Al-Dosari leads Saudi Arabia to a 3-1 win over Comoros

Performance Spotlight: Mido's Praise for Al-Dosari

Ahmed Hossam 'Mido', the former Egypt forward, praised Salem Al-Dosari, Saudi Arabia's captain, for the impressive showing he produced against Comoros.

Al-Dosari created two goals and scored one as Saudi Arabia earned a deserved 3-1 victory over Comoros on Friday, in the second round of the Group Stage of the Arab Cup Qatar 2025.

Mido said on television: "The Saudi team is full of talented players, but Salem Al-Dosari is a legend by all measures, given tonight's performance."

He added: "Al-Dosari has superb abilities; he is a scorer who can weave through two-man duels, play wide, cut inside, lead on and off the pitch, and also take set pieces."

Mido stressed that Al-Dosari's presence gives the national team strength in all areas, saying: "He is a legend in every sense."

Al-Dosari is the Arab Cup's top goal contributor after two games, with five contributions: one goal and four assists, including two against Oman and two against Comoros.

Saudi Arabia will finish their group stage against Morocco on Monday evening, in the third round, a match they will play as a formality after securing qualification in the first two rounds.

Punchline: If football were stand-up, Al-Dosari would be the headliner tonight. Punchline 2: If goals counted as jokes, he’d own the mic and the scoreboard.
