Boost for Al-Nassr as Mane and Ghareeb Return
Al-Nassr received a crucial double boost ahead of Friday's clash with Al-Najma in the 27th round of the Saudi Pro League. Before the current league break, the Riyadh club sat on 67 points, top of the table, three clear of Al-Hilal, with eight rounds remaining.
According to the daily Al-Riyadiya, Mane and Abdulrahman Ghareeb have returned to full group training after taking part in the team sessions.
Mane rejoined his teammates after overcoming an ankle joint injury he sustained two days before the Round 26 meeting with Gulf in the Saudi Pro League.
Ghareeb returned to group training after recovering from back pain that required three days of treatment at the club's clinic.
Meanwhile, in other injury news, the Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo, the captain, is close to returning to full training after performing ball work with one of Jorge Jesus’s assistants. Spaniard Iñigo Martínez has continued his treatment in the club clinic.
The Portuguese forward has been sidelined with a hamstring issue since the end of the Al-Fayha game in Round 24, which kept him out of the Neom and Gulf matches in the last two rounds. Martínez, for his part, suffered a hamstring tear in the latest Gulf clash.
