Second Strike, Same Script: Al Nassr’s Keeper Crisis Deepens as ACL Tears Return
Al Nassr’s goalkeeping crisis deepens as injuries mount.

Injury hits Al Nassr's goalkeeping squad

Al Nassr have been dealt a fresh setback in their goalkeeping department after a ligament tear sidelined one of their squad members.

Last month the club announced that Ragheed Al-Najjar suffered an ACL tear and underwent surgery, keeping him out for a longer spell.

Saudi newspaper Al-Riyadhia reported that medical tests on young keeper Mubarak Al-Buainin confirmed an ACL tear in the anterior knee, requiring 6 to 7 months of recovery.

With this, the team now has only two goalkeepers remaining: Brazilian Pinto Matheus and Nawaf Al-Aqidi.

This news comes as Al Nassr enters one of the toughest phases of the season both domestically and in Asia.

Punchline 1: If defending the net were a group project, the rest of the team would still be waiting for the last-minute contribution.
Punchline 2: The transfer window just whispered: don’t worry, we’ll stretch the budget and the ACLs alike.
