New Chaos Strikes the Moroccan League Schedule
23 March 2026
Delayed fixtures spark debate
In a surprising move, the INWI Pro League postponed the matches for rounds 10 and 11, less than 24 hours after an official timetable had been published.
League officials explained the decision was driven by the international break and players' commitments to national teams, prompting a calendar redraw.
This back-and-forth has revived criticism of the scheduling process, which has seen repeated changes in recent seasons, a pattern widely noted by Moroccan media.
League statement
The federation's release said: "In managing the national competition calendar and due to the international break dedicated to national duties, the league reorganizes the postponed matches from rounds 10 and 11 to after the international break."
The statement added: "This measure aims to guarantee equal opportunities for all clubs and allow players called up to national duty to fulfill their commitments under the best conditions, especially after clubs pressed for postponement despite initial agreement to proceed."
The league indicated that a detailed schedule would be announced later through official channels.
Punchline: If calendars could talk, this one would beg for a timeout and a coffee break.
Punchline 2: The calendar is busier than a stadium during a derby—every page turn brings a new drama.
