Trial Window for Nigerian Duo
Nigerian striker David Evyato Gigiofor and defender Ebizimor Garando are undergoing trials with Al-Nassr’s under-21 squad on Tuesday evening, as the club assesses their potential before a final decision on signing them.
Coaching Oversight and Evaluation
Saudi outlet Al-Riyadhiah reports that Brazilian coach Marcelo Salazar will oversee the evaluation on the players born in 2007, with a detailed technical report to follow after the trial ends.
Meanwhile seven senior players continue rehabilitation at the club’s medical facilities, including Abdulilah Al-Omari, Ragid Al-Najjar, Saad Haqwi, Salem Al-Najdi, Rakan Al-Ghamdi, Sami Al-Najai, and Ayman Yahya, staying away from first-team training for now.
The first team wraps up training at the Dar Al-Nasr facility before traveling to Abha to face Damac on Wednesday, in the 17th round of the Roshen Saudi League at Prince Sultan Stadium.
Al-Nassr will be without goalkeeper Nawaf Al-Aqidi due to suspension, while Ayman Yahya, Abdullah Al-Kheibri, and Sultan Al-Ghamdi risk suspensions in the next match if they pick up more bookings. The club remains second in the standings with 34 points, seven behind leaders Al-Hilal.
Punchline 1: If transfer windows came with a return policy, this one would have a two-week trial period and a money-back guarantee—easier than some player negotiations.
Punchline 2: Maybe the ball should come with a note: “Please return to sender if negotiations don’t end in a signed contract by halftime.”
