Roma circles Renan Lodi as winter moves approach
The Brazilian winger Renan Lodi, formerly of Al Hilal, is on Roma's radar for a potential winter transfer.
Italian transfer expert Fabrizio Romano says Roma officials have contacted the player's representatives in recent days to gauge his interest in donning the Giallorossi shirt.
Romano also reported that Lodi wants a fresh start in the winter window after terminating his contract with the Saudi club, but talks have produced no concrete progress.
Lodi's Al Hilal exit and Roma's inquiry
The Brazilian had terminated his contract with Al Hilal unilaterally after coach Simone Inzaghi’s decision to drop him from the domestic squad, prompting the club to act legally to protect his rights.
Renan Lodi joined Al Hilal in January 2024 from Marseille, but his first season was not very successful due to his form, before flourishing in the 2024-25 season.
