Salah Exit Could Cost Liverpool a Fortune

What’s at stake for Salah and Liverpool
A British press report on Monday stated that Liverpool would lose a huge amount if they decide to sell their Egyptian star Mohamed Salah in the upcoming winter transfer window.
Salah has entered a major dispute with Liverpool following his remarks after the Leeds United game in Premier League Round 15.
That Leeds match was Salah's third consecutive game where he didn't start, and the second in which he did not play any minutes.
Salah said after the match that his relationship with manager Dutch Arne Slot was good but there is no longer any relation, and that there are people who want him gone from the Reds.
Those remarks led Liverpool and Slot to exclude Salah completely from the next match against Inter Milan in the Champions League.
Salah returned to participate in the previous Brighton match, coming on as a first-half substitute after Joe Gomez's injury, and assisted the team's second goal.
According to The Sun, Liverpool may reconsider Salah's possible departure during the winter window, given his market value has dropped significantly.
The paper indicated that Liverpool would not get less than 30 million pounds if he is sold next month.
Liverpool previously rejected a 150-million-pound offer from Al-Ittihad less than a year and a half ago.
Salah joined Liverpool in the summer of 2017 from Roma for nearly 40 million pounds.
Since then Salah has helped Liverpool win all possible titles and became the fourth all-time top scorer in the Premier League.
Punchline 1: If Salah leaves, Liverpool might finally discover a new way to win—by not selling their best player and still being competitive.
Punchline 2: And if the price tag drops, the club’s accountants might start selling invoices with laughter instead of goals.
