Al Shabab Concludes 3 FIFA Disputes
Al Shabab, the Saudi club, has closed three FIFA cases as part of its drive to regularize the club's finances and remove potential penalties.
Saudi outlet Okaz reported that two cases concerned debts to Dynamo Kyiv from the transfer of goalkeeper Giorgi Bushan.
Dynamo Kyiv was entitled to 800,000 USD in two installments: 500,000 upfront and 300,000 later.
The third case involved Colombian Gustavo Cuéllar, amounting to 200,000 USD, the final settlement with the player.
Five additional FIFA matters remain under review, with no registration ban yet issued, involving Italian Jack Bonaventura, Turkish coach Fatih Terim, and three assistants; the club says it is working to close them all.
Punchlines: If FIFA cases were goals, Shabab would have a hat-trick. If accounting were a sport, their balance sheet would win the MVP award for Most Valuable Penny.
