Tunisia's Coaching Shake-Up: Lamouchi Names Staff as Khazri Joins as Analyst
Lamouchi's Tunisia staff, with Khazri joining as analyst, ahead of World Cup 2026.

Staff appointment

The Tunisia Football Federation on Tuesday announced the national team's coaching staff under Sabri Lamouchi.

Contract and World Cup plan

Lamouchi, 54, had taken charge of Tunisia after Sami Trabelsi, who left the Carthage Eagles following their Africa Cup of Nations exit at the round of 16 against Mali on penalties.

Support staff and Khazri

Lamouchi will be assisted by Michael Heivel (assistant coach), Olivier Bedimas (goalkeeping coach), Cedric Bloom (fitness coach), and Wahbi Khazri as performance analyst.

Khazri's retirement and career

Khazri, 34, had announced his retirement from football at the end of last year, after a career highlighted by spells with Sunderland in England and Saint-Etienne in France.

If coaching paid by the hour, Lamouchi would own the clock; Khazri retires from playing but never from analyzing the defense.
