Ahmed Eid seals four-and-a-half-year deal
Al Ahly has secured Ahmed Eid, the right-back from Al Masry, on a four-and-a-half-year contract.
The club reached an official agreement with Al Masry to buy the remainder of the 25-year-old's deal.
The player underwent medical checks on Monday after returning from Morocco with the Egypt squad and is expected to join training soon.
Ahmed Eid began his career in Al Ahly's academy before leaving in 2015 for the youth sector at Zamalek, and he was promoted to the first team in 2020.
He spent loan spells with Ismaily and Enppi before a permanent move to Al Masry in summer 2023.
Eid featured for the Young Pharaohs at the Africa Cup of Nations Under-23s, finishing runners-up, and he also played at the Paris 2024 Olympics.
Ahmed Eid logged 39 appearances for Al Masry, setting up two goals; he also played 22 times for Zamalek, contributing one strike.
Eid is now the club's fourth winter arrival, following Moroccan Youssef Belamri, left-back from Raja Casablanca; Marwan Osman, Ceramica Cleopatra forward; and Amr El-Gazar, a defender from Al Ahly.
Separately, Al Ahly submitted a final bid to sign Petrojet defender Hadi Riyad after Petrojet demanded 40 million Egyptian pounds for his release.
Al Ahly offered 25 million pounds plus the loan of one youth team player until the end of the season.
