Rani Khodira Eligible to Play for Tunisia

The Tunisian Football Federation announced on Facebook that Rani Khodira, a Union Berlin player, is now eligible to represent the Carthage Eagles.

The federation’s statement said FIFA’s football court officially approved the change of sporting allegiance for Rani Khodira.

Following Tunisia’s approval, Rani Khodira, 32, became eligible to represent the Tunisian national team in the near future, and CAF, UEFA, and the German federation were notified.

Rani Khodira was born in Stuttgart and previously played for Leipzig and Augsburg.

He is the younger brother of former Germany star Sami Khodira.

Punchlines: If the ball is round, destiny is rounder. If Tunisia goes far, the trophy will need a passport too!
