The young left-back Patrizio Pasefico, 19, from Defensor Sporting in Uruguay, is poised to join Barcelona Atlètic during the winter window, becoming a further reinforcement for Barça's reserve side.

According to Uruguayan journalist Rodrigo Vasquez, cited by Mundo Deportivo, the deal will be a loan with Barça retaining an option to purchase 80 percent of the rights for three million euros, with variables that could push the total to as much as 3.8 million. Activation hinges on Pasefico playing at least 30 minutes across 10 matches in the next five months total.

And if Barça sells the player later, Defensor Sporting will keep 20 percent of the deal, while the player and his agent give up their share.
