Video: Fahd Al-Muld Returns to the Jeddah Derby After Four-Year Absence
6 March 2026
Return of a Derby Legend
The legend of Al-Ittihad is absent from the derby, yet he remains visible in Al-Ahli's stands.
Al-Ahli fans brought Fahd Al-Muld back into the match atmosphere, four long years after his peak.
The two teams met on Friday at Enmaa Stadium in Jeddah, a top clash in round 25 of the Roshn Saudi League.
In the 19th minute, Al-Ahli supporters unfurled a banner showing Al-Muld in a Saudi jersey with the message Remember him in prayer.
Al-Muld has been out since September 2024 due to a serious injury after a fall from his Dubai balcony.
He last played a derby between Al-Ittihad and Al-Ahli four years ago, on February 26, 2022, before moving to Al-Shabab, and then suffered the unfortunate accident that left him unconscious for about a year and a half.
Punchline 1: If he scores, call it a miracle.
Punchline 2: Follow the roar—the stadium is louder than a scoreboard in a library.
