Wesley Stresses the Importance of the Al-Zawraa Clash

Brazilian winger Wesley of Al-Nassr stressed the importance of the AFC Champions League 2 match against Al-Zawraa, even though qualification to the knockout stage is already secured as leaders of Group 4.

Al-Nassr will host Al-Zawraa on Wednesday at Al-Nass Park for the final group-stage round of ACL 2.

In a press conference ahead of the game, Wesley said: "The match against Al-Zawraa will be important, and January will also be important; we want to win to please the fans."

According to the Saudi outlet Al-Riyadiya, the team prepared well, and as coach Jorge Jesus said, they spent a long time without competitive matches recently.

Wesley also noted the pause in Saudi football due to Saudi Arabia's participation in the Arab Cup 2025 in Qatar.

He added that the team intends to give their best against Al-Zawraa and asks fans to fill the first park's stands to create a fantastic atmosphere.

He also commented on the new training facility, after its official opening, calling it beautiful and a positive boost for training with passion.

It’s worth noting that Al-Nassr has already secured a Round-of-16 place in ACL 2 by winning all five of their previous matches and leading Group 4 with 15 points.

Punchline 1: If this match were a math problem, the solution would be x = 15 and a packed stadium.

Punchline 2: Al-Zawraa should bring a map—this group is leading us to victory, and the atmosphere could compass them into confusion.
