A report says Senegalese football is in mourning since Sunday after a horrific tragedy struck as a team bus returned from Kaolack.
Foot Mercato wrote: "Senegal is in mourning... on Sunday afternoon, a horrific tragedy occurred as the Senegalese football team ASC Gadiaga was returning by bus from Kaolack."
It added: "The team had played a decisive match in the national second division when the bus crashed near the village of Bala, in eastern Senegal."
Casualties and Official Response
Le Soleil, the Senegalese newspaper, reported that the toll is high, with at least 20 injured, seven in critical condition, and the team's goalkeeper, Sirin Falo Die, dying from his injuries.
Authorities are set to open an investigation to uncover the exact circumstances of the incident.
