White Knights Lock In Starlet: Mohamed El-Sayed Re-signs with Zamalek
23 January 2026
Contract Renewal
\nZamalek have renewed the contract of midfielder Mohamed El-Sayed for three and a half seasons.
\nThe deal was previously due to expire at the end of the current campaign, but he agreed to extend after intensive talks led by sporting director John Edward and contracts manager Abdulrahman Ismail.
\nMohamed El-Sayed had been linked with a move to Al Ahly after his contract runs out in June.
\nIn a video posted by Zamalek on X, he said he chose to renew his home with the White Knights and stay at the club.
\nEl-Sayed has been with Zamalek since under former Swiss coach Christian Gross, contributing last season.
\nThe 21-year-old also played for Egypt at the FIFA U20 World Cup as a substitute.
\nZamalek had recently released midfielder Nasser Maher to Pyramids.
\nPunchline 1: If contracts had loyalty programs, El-Sayed would have his own pin code.
\nPunchline 2: Al Ahly rumors? He replied with an extension, proving patience is a virtue… and a great negotiating tactic.
