Kahraba’s Kuwait Chapter Closes: A Sharp Exit and Ready Moves for January
4 January 2026
End of Kahraba's Kuwait Chapter
The board of Qadsia Kuwait welcomed the request of their Egyptian player Mahmoud Abdel Moneim, known as Kahraba, to terminate his contract and depart the squad during the winter mercato.
This decision followed consultations between the club and the technical staff led by Tunisian coach Nabil Maaloul, who wished the player success in his next stop.
Kahraba had been out of Maaloul's plans in recent months, prompting the Tunisian manager to seek a new professional in the winter window.
Previously, Kahraba wore the shirts of Zamalek and Al Ahly in Egypt, in addition to spells with Ittihad Jeddah and Libyan side Al-Ittihad.
In the same context, Kuwaiti press reports say Qadsia officials opened talks with several players, coordinating with the technical staff, with a view to signing a Jordanian winger/forward to reinforce the team's attacking line.
Meanwhile, Senegalese striker Ablaye Mbengue, who Qadsia recently signed, has arrived in Kuwait to undergo medical checks before joining the training.
What’s Next for Qadsia
While Mbengue arrived for medicals, the club eyes a Jordanian winger/forward to strengthen the attack.
Kahraba’s next destination remains to be seen; negotiations move quickly in football, but this one moved even quicker than a sprint finish.
Punchline 1: If endings came with a scoring sheet, this one would read Kahraba 1, Old Club 0.
Punchline 2: They call him a transfer marksman in this window; watch him aim for greener pastures and still hit open space on the bench.
