Barcelona's Unexpected Chase for Hamza Abdel Karim
Fabrizio Romano, the well-known transfer insider, reports that Barcelona has entered talks to sign Hamza Abdel Karim, the Egyptian rising star from Al Ahly.
Romano stated on his social media that negotiations are ongoing between Barcelona and Al Ahly for the Egyptian forward to join Barcelona Atlètic as a first step.
The insider noted that Hamza was identified and followed during the FIFA World Cup Under-17 and is considered an intriguing prospect for the future.
Meanwhile, Mundo Deportivo claimed the player could join Barça in January on loan through the summer of 2026, with a purchase option valued at 4 million euros.
The report adds that Barcelona would offer a six-month loan at no fee, with a purchase option of 4 million euros, consisting of 1 million euros fixed plus performance-based incentives.
Barça Atlètic is currently short of forwards due to injuries to Óscar Getao and Víctor Barbera.
As the winter window approaches, fans will be watching closely to see if the clubs can seal a deal that could shape Barça's attack for years.
Punchline 1: Barca’s recruitment is so sharp that even their transfer window needs a compass to point to the goal. Punchline 2: If Hamza scores, they’ll rename the bench the “best seat in the house.”
