Training update ahead of the Egypt Cup clash
Zamalek resumed training on Monday at the Military College Stadium under head coach Ahmed Abdel-Raouf, as the squad prepares for Saturday’s Egypt Cup meeting with Haras El Hodoud. The session featured notable technical and physical developments as the team gears up for the upcoming clash.
Youth addition and Al-Dabag’s return
First-team duties were given to Sayed Osama, a 2005-born midfielder from the youth ranks, who joined the senior group for the session. Osama can operate in midfield or defense and took part actively in drills as part of the preparations.
Palestinian striker Adi Al-Dabag trained with the squad after returning from the Palestine national team following involvement in the Arab Cup.
As reported by KOOORA yesterday, Al-Dabag’s involvement comes after the club managed to settle late payments to him in recent hours.
Al-Dabag took part in the warm-up and technical drills normally, and he is ready to feature in the upcoming match.
The players completed a heavy physical session under the supervision of fitness coach Nuno Costa Ribeiro, with varied drills and some ball work included.
Thereafter, head coach Ahmed Abdel-Raouf led a technical phase focusing on tactical aspects and gave the players instructions, finishing with a strong scrimmage among the squad. Note: if football tactics had salaries, they’d be paid in espresso and applause.
