Al Hilal's Backline Boost: Two Stars Return as Boabri’s Injury Update Shapes Taawon Showdown
Al Hilal close to full-strength as two stars return and Boabri’s injury timeline unfolds.

Key returns ahead of Taawon clash

Al Hilal announced updates on two returning players ahead of Saturday's Roshen Saudi Pro League clash with Al Taawon, and detailed the absence window for French forward Simon Boabri.

The match is set for the Kingdom Arena in the 27th round of the league.

Three days before the game, Hassan Tambakti and Meteb Alharbi were able to participate in the first part of the team's training today, continuing their rehabilitation programs.

The pair's return brings Hilal closer to a full-strength squad after injuries sustained while with the Saudi national team during the March camp, which kept them out of friendlies with Egypt and Serbia.

Separately, third Saudi player Sultan Mandesh was in the club's medical clinic after injuring his ankle while with the national team.

Medical tests confirmed that Boabri needs a treatment and rehabilitation program lasting from seven to ten days, due to a hamstring issue.

As a result, the star will miss the next two fixtures against Al Taawon and Al Kholood on April 4 and 8, in rounds 27 and 29.

Boabri sustained the injury after 32 minutes in a France U21 vs Luxembourg U21 friendly last Thursday, before returning to Riyadh for treatment.

Hilal currently sit second in the league with 64 points, three behind leaders Al Nassr.

Punchline 1: If injuries were memberships, Boabri just signed a one-week trial—no late fees, just late hamstrings.

Punchline 2: With two stars back, Hilal's bench looks like a coffee shop: always full, and somehow the latte art is pain-free hamstring-free.
