Transfer Update: Al-Nassr lands Iraqi talent
The Iraqi star seals his move to Al-Nassr.
The Saudi club Al-Nassr has sealed the transfer of Iraqi winger Haidar Abdul Karim from Al-Zawra'a in the current winter window.
According to the Saudi daily Al-Riyadiyah, the fee is 950,000 dollars, with 500,000 payable to the Iraqi club and the remaining 450,000 to the player each year.
The contract lasts two and a half years with an option to renew for an extra season, after agreeing on all terms with the 22-year-old.
Abdul Karim had represented his Iraqi club in 11 matches domestically and internationally, scoring two goals and providing no assists.
He featured against Al Nassr in two group-stage matches in this season's AFC Champions League.
Nasser hopes Abdul Karim's talent will boost the team's attacking output as coach Jorge Jesus looks to develop the side's offensive system.
Sniper remark: Transfer season plays like a sniper's keyboard—one precise click, and the net gets a new resident.
Sniper remark 2: If he nets on first touch, the coach will say "one shot, one goal" and the rumor mill will suddenly need a new scope.
