Tariq Dhiab Calls Out Inzaghi After Al Hilal's 2-2 Draw with Al Taawoun
The Tunisian legend Tariq Dhiab, a former Al-Ahli Jeddah midfielder, launched a sharp critique at Italian coach Simone Inzaghi, the head coach of Al Hilal, after their 2-2 draw with Al Taawoun on Saturday in the 27th round of the Roshen Pro League, criticizing the team's playing style and the impact of the draw on the title race.
As a result, Al Hilal collected two more points in the title race, bringing their total to 65 points in second place, tied with Al Ahli in third, and five points behind the leaders Al Nassr.
Dhiab told the Saudi TV network Eight that Al Hilal is clearly struggling in performance and approach, and in the players' ability to make a difference.

He added that the poor level is not limited to the match against Al Taawoun, and was evident even before the latest international break, with Hilal showing a clear lack of attacking solutions and Inzaghi failing to devise a new method.
It is not reasonable that Sergej Savic's absence affects Inzaghi's system this way; the team looked adrift without the Serbian player and could not find solutions.
Dhiab also noted that Brazilian Malcolm de Oliveira was the only exception in yesterday's match, saying he had the solutions and the ability to decide, unlike the other players.
He concluded that Al Taawoun was solid, able to exploit space behind Al Hilal and with crosses and other things that gave them the victory.
Punchline 1: If Inzaghi's tactics had a scope, the shot would be off target—lucky for the camera, not for the fans.
Punchline 2: If football were a sniper's game, this plan would miss the target and still win a trophy for art direction.
