Africa Cup Confusion: Senegal Stripped of the Title, Morocco Crowned—with a Twist

ACAF decision strips Senegal of the Africa Cup of Nations title and awards it to Morocco after a controversial final. The ruling came after CAF reviewed the final, halted moments before the end as Senegalese players walked out, citing disputed refereeing. Officials deemed the walkout a refusal to continue, leading to a Moroccan coronation. Mark Fish, a South African football legend, publicly disputed the move, arguing Senegal were the rightful champions. The episode fuels ongoing calls for transparency and governance reform within CAF.
