Al Ahli’s King Cup Final Ride: Penalties Win, Fine Imposed for Bottle Gate

Al Ahli Jeddah advanced to the King’s Cup final after a 1-1 draw with Al Hilal, triumphing 4-2 on penalties. The Disciplinary and Ethics Committee fined the club 30,000 SAR for fans throwing five water bottles onto the pitch. The ruling, reported by the match observer, said no one was hit and is non-appealable under Article 144. A quirky twist to a tense night, reminding everyone that water battles belong in the stadium’s refreshment area, not on the field.
